Vanilla Curve
|
| Formed in a small town near Detroit, Michigan, The Vanilla Curve
has been turning heads and catching ears ever since winning the
Exposure 2004 Battle of the Bands in Pontiac, Michigan. This
group of high school artists combine a wide variety of musical
tastes, resulting in a unique rock blend. With influences from
genres all over the map, Josh, Scott, Billy, and Aaron have
created a sound appealing to any audience. |
About the Artist:
Starting in the late summer of 2004, the members of two local Clarkston, Michigan bands joined forces to create a new sound; a new sound that has become known as the Vanilla Curve. Within six months of the bands conception, two CDs including one demo (the Vanilla Vurve) and one full length album (Create) have been released, with the second album set to be sold nationwide this spring. The Vanilla Curve is said to combine the sounds of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Pink Floyd, and many other influential bands to make a sometimes soft, sometimes hard, sometimes funky, and sometimes melodic tone. The band hopes to be viewed as an alternative to the pop/punk wave sweeping America, and if nothing else, just a good listen. |

Nice, nice. This band has the right idea. Their music is unique, but some of
their songs aren't that good. Their song "Buddha Jackson" sounds like rap,
so I don't really care for that one. Some of their other songs like "Fall Beneath
It" seem to have no structure whatsoever. But most of their material is good
stuff. They're making a good effort to create new music.

I like The Vanilla Curve a lot. Their music is really great, because it's not like all the rap and other stuff out there. I listen to their CD all the time. It's really good.

The Vanilla Curve has created a new fusion of music, and I like it a lot. It's not completely funk, nor completely rock, but I think it may be somewhere in between. Whatever their genre of music is, it's totally sweet. I bought the CD, and I was surprised at the songs they could pull off. Very cool.
Reviewed April 26, 2005 Review: Simply awesome. Today's music is not that good, with all the rap and screamo. But The Vanilla Curve brings a refreshing sound back into the world of music. It's great, because their music is a mixture of different types. Some of their songs are soft, some are fast, some are loud, and some are funky. The Vanilla Curve knows how to create great music. What a great band.
